Cliff Rocks and Surf
Ballina, NSW (Australia)

First rays of the day hit one of the most eastern parts of Australia, on the north coast of NSW. Thus area was once volcanic, and traces of this can be seen in the rocks.

PHOTO TIP: Limiting the elements in a shot can greatly increase the dramatic quality. In this case there are just four - cliffs, crumbled rock, surf and the low angle of the sun like a spotlight.
